Reopening the Public Toilets in Wadebridge managed by Wadebridge Town Council
The public toilets at The Platt and Egloshayle Road will be reopening at 9am on Monday 15 June 2020.
Changes to the use of the toilets have been made to safeguard the health of users and staff during the current COVID-19 pandemic. We kindly ask that you abide by these new measures.
The toilets will be operating as follows:
· All toilets will be deep cleaned prior to reopening.
· The disabled toilet, with access by radar key, will be available for use.
· One cubicle per Ladies toilets and one cubicle per Gents toilets will be available for use only.
· Baby changing facilities in the Ladies toilets will be available.
· Urinals in the Gents toilets will not be in use as they are not safe to use in the current Covid 19 pandemic.
· There will be a one-in-one-out policy. This needs to be managed by users. Guides for queuing will be visible – please respect others and understand that the reduced facility may require you to queue. Please be patient.
· Toilets will open from 9am to 5pm; Monday – Saturday; closed on a Sunday.
· Toilets at the Platt will close from 12.30pm to 1pm for cleaning.
· Toilets at Egloshayle Road will close from 1.30pm to 2pm for cleaning.
· All toilets will be cleaned before opening at 9am.
· Please observe social distancing at all times.
The public toilets have remained closed following Government guidance. They are reopening following a risk assessment and measures have been put in place to provide a safe facility for all users.
Please help us keep these toilets open by adhering to the guidelines for use.
We trust that users of the toilets will use them safely and courteously to others. We will have staff monitoring their use and if we assess that the toilets being open, with the changes made, present an unacceptable risk to users and staff, we will have no option but to close them again.
Thank you
Wadebridge Town Council
We have been advised by Cormac that the works on Jubilee Path will recommence on Monday 8 June 2020.
The works should be completed by the end of the week (weather permitting).
Residents of Wadebridge will now notice the beautiful baskets throughout our lovely Town.
Staff have worked tirelessly over the last two days in the glorious weather to ensure Wadebridge gets the lift it needs.
Baskets at the Town Hall & Library are planted in colours to commemorate VE Day, so keep an eye out as they blossom. Next week we will be focusing on the various beds around Wadebridge which also be reflecting this theme.
All tasks were done safely in accordance with Government Guidelines.
Next week we will begin to put up the hanging baskets in town which were so popular last year. With social distancing in place this exercise now has additional challenges and we will be taking precautions for our staff and the public while we do this. While lockdown is being eased we still need to be careful as we go about our daily business.
Please ensure you allow our staff space to carry out this exercise quickly and safely.
Our hanging baskets are for you Wadebridge. As we slowly return to the outside world we hope you enjoy seeing how our baskets grow over the summer and that they brighten your day.
