Tuesday 5th February is Safer Internet Day with the theme 'Together for a Better Internet' with the theme of using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

It will focus on how consent works in an online context and will ask young people to explore how they ask, give and receive consent online.

This could be in their friendships or relationships, how they take and share images and videos or how they manage their privacy and data. The campaign wants this day to empower young people to take control of their online lives and to feel that they can harness and use the positive power of the internet for good.

Wadebridge Libraries display has three parts,

Be Kind
Be Smart
And,
Think about who you could be talking to online.

We have made some badges for young people to take and share the be smart message and have internet safety plan hand out for parents and carers to check there internet safety at home.
