Today's drop in event with Town Councillors in the Town Hall for the Community Governance Review has been cancelled due to the Town Council taking heed of recent advice in relation to Covid-19.
We must consider the risks to members of the public and to those with underlying health conditions.

CORNWALL COUNCIL’S COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE REVIEW
DROP-IN EVENT WITH WADEBRIDGE TOWN COUNCILLORS
MONDAY 16 MARCH 2020 AT THE TOWN HALL
SESSIONS 10am–2pm & 5pm–8pm
Cornwall Council is currently undertaking a Community Governance Review for the whole of Cornwall. Working with Town and Parish Councils, Cornwall Council have proposed a number of recommendations which will affect you. These recommendations are aimed to ensure that community governance arrangements are reflective of the identities and interests of the community in that area and are effective and convenient. The review aims to make sure communities have a voice in the areas they feel part of.
Wadebridge Town Council’s drop in event will give you a chance to meet and chat to Town Councillors over a cup of tea or coffee and discuss what these proposals mean for you.
Wadebridge Town Council support the proposals which extend the boundaries of its parish to include areas which currently reside within Egloshayle and St Breock Parish Councils. We support these proposals as they aim to create an organisation best placed to deliver the services required by the local community to improve community engagement, create more cohesive communities, provide better local democracy and ensure the efficient delivery of local services.

A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency.
Flood Warning in force: North Cornwall Coast At Wadebridge and Chapel Amble.
Flooding is expected for: low lying parts of Wadebridge including Molesworth Street, Harbour Road, Eddystone Road, Southern Way and Trevilling Road, and Chapel Amble.
Immediate action required.
Flooding is expected for Wadebridge and Chapel Amble over the high tides, from Wednesday morning 11th March to the morning tide on Thursday 12th. High water at Padstow on Weds is at 06:21 and 18:46 and Thurs at 07:03.
Times of high water will vary along the coast. Conditions apply two hours either side of high tide, with property flooding expected over the peak of the tide. Force 6 to 7 west-south-west winds and offshore wave heights are increasing to over 5m on Thursday.
These are forecast to cause wave overtopping and sea spray along the coast including sea front car parks. Expect tides to be up to 500mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions.
This may cause localised standing water on roads and on the Padstow to Bodmin Cycle Track and Pathway. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local radio. We are monitoring the situation and will update this information on Wednesday, or if the situation changes
What you should consider doing now
---------------------------------------------
* Act on your flood plan if you have one.
* Move your family and pets to a safe place.
* Move your car or other vehicles to higher ground, if it is safe to do so.
* Use flood protection equipment, such as flood barriers, air brick covers and pumps to protect your property. Any equipment should be professionally supplied and installed to help reduce the impact of flood water.
* Move important items upstairs or to a safe place in your property, starting with cherished items of personal value that you will not be able to replace (such as family photographs). Next move valuables (such as computers), movable furniture and furnishings.
* You may need to leave your property, so pack a bag with enough items for a few nights away. Include essential items including a torch with spare batteries, mobile phone and charger, warm clothes, home insurance information, water, food, first aid kit and any prescription medicines or baby care items you may need.
* Turn off gas, electricity and water mains supplies before flood water starts to enter your property. Never touch an electrical switch if you are standing in water.
* If it is safe to do so, make sure neighbours are aware of the situation and offer help to anyone who may need it.
* Listen to the advice of the emergency services and be ready to evacuate your property if told to do so. Most evacuation centres will let you bring your pets.
* Avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. 30 cm of fast-flowing water can move a car and 6 inches can knock an adult off their feet.
* Flood water is dangerous and may be polluted. Wash your hands thoroughly if you've been in contact with it.
