·         Egloshayle Playing fields

This COVID-19 parking concession is available in Cornwall Council owned and operated off-street car parks, on the public highway and on Cornwall Council maintained housing estates only. This is not applicable to the Town Council.

Please ensure you purchase the relevant parking ticket for your stay in the Town Council car park. Charges apply to all vehicles and vehicles without valid tickets will receive an excess charge.

The Town Council recognises and very much appreciates the important role that key workers have through this continuing difficult time and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

It has been agreed that the Town Hall will be the location for a temporary Post Office until the plans for its final relocation to Spar have been finalised. The Town Council have been working with the Post Office when we were made aware that McColl's were closing resulting in uncertain times for the Post Office service in Wadebridge.

We are pleased that our involvement has resulted in the continuation of a much needed service in Wadebridge. While Spar will be the final destination of the Post Office service in Wadebridge the Town Council were committed to ensuring that the service would continue in Wadebridge and we were prepared to take on and deliver this service if no other business was interested in doing so.

We will update you with arrangements for the temporary service as soon as we can.

Wadebridge will begin the tentative steps to reopening on Monday.  A huge welcome back to our wonderful shops who have had to close during the lockdown period who will join our equally fabulous shops who have remained open throughout.  We are so glad to have you all back as we work together to bring Wadebridge alive once more.  Measures are in place to allow you to shop safely.  It will be a little different than you remember but please come and say hello - we will be so happy to see you.

Reopening the Public Toilets in Wadebridge managed by Wadebridge Town Council

The public toilets at The Platt and Egloshayle Road will be reopening at 9am on Monday 15 June 2020.

Changes to the use of the toilets have been made to safeguard the health of users and staff during the current COVID-19 pandemic. We kindly ask that you abide by these new measures.

The toilets will be operating as follows:
·         All toilets will be deep cleaned prior to reopening.
·         The disabled toilet, with access by radar key, will be available for use.
·         One cubicle per Ladies toilets and one cubicle per Gents toilets will be available for use only.
·         Baby changing facilities in the Ladies toilets will be available.
·         Urinals in the Gents toilets will not be in use as they are not safe to use in the current Covid 19 pandemic.
·         There will be a one-in-one-out policy. This needs to be managed by users. Guides for queuing will be visible – please respect others and understand that the reduced facility may require you to queue. Please be patient.
·         Toilets will open from 9am to 5pm; Monday – Saturday; closed on a Sunday.
·         Toilets at the Platt will close from 12.30pm to 1pm for cleaning.
·         Toilets at Egloshayle Road will close from 1.30pm to 2pm for cleaning.
·         All toilets will be cleaned before opening at 9am.
·         Please observe social distancing at all times.

The public toilets have remained closed following Government guidance. They are reopening following a risk assessment and measures have been put in place to provide a safe facility for all users.

Please help us keep these toilets open by adhering to the guidelines for use.

We trust that users of the toilets will use them safely and courteously to others. We will have staff monitoring their use and if we assess that the toilets being open, with the changes made, present an unacceptable risk to users and staff, we will have no option but to close them again.

Thank you
Wadebridge Town Council
