There will be limited numbers able to access the Library with additional cleaning measures and guidelines in place for social distancing.  There will be no access to public computers and payments cannot be made at this time.  Unfortunately browsing of books will not be possible.

Following the latest Government advice on the 4-week national lockdown in England we can advise that, from tomorrow, Thursday 5 November, the Town Hall, and Egloshayle Pavilion will close to hirers and members of the public.  We will also revert to the click and collect service for returning books and collecting reservations at Wadebridge Library.  This will be a foyer service only.  Our Library opening hours will be 10am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm (Tuesday to Friday).  The Library will remain closed on a Saturday during the 4-week national lockdown period.

Our parks, skatepark and public toilets remain open.  Car parks will operate as normal.

There will be small wreath laying ceremony on Sunday 8th November with invited guests only to adhere to government guidance.  There will be no Remembrance Parade or church service.   There will also be no 11am Act of Remembrance due to be held on the 11th of November at the Town Hall.   It is very much hoped that all residents will take part in the ‘National Doorstep Act of Remembrance’ this coming Sunday the 8th of November.  This ‘Doorstep Remembrance’ encourages all households to stand on the threshold of your home for the two-minute silence.

We are advised this 4-week national lockdown will end on Wednesday 2 December 2020 unless government advice changes.

Stay safe and stay well Wadebridge

COVID- 19 UPDATE - WADEBRIDGE SKATEPARK IS CLOSED FOR THE 4 WEEK NATIONAL LOCKDOWN BEGINNING ON 5 NOVEMBER 2020

The UK Government has confirmed the requirement of the increased national lockdown in England is designed to suppress the spread of Covid-19, save lives and protect the NHS.

Sadly, all indoor and outdoor skateparks in England have been ordered to close from Thursday 5 November 2020 by the Government, following Parliamentary approval of a 4-week national lockdown.

We know this is hugely disappointing news, but we must all pull together as a community and continue to follow the Government guidance to keep ourselves and each other safe.

Please don't jump the fence.  Please do not enter the Skatepark when closed.

Please be responsible for your own and others safety and stay away.

'Every year, the Legion calls on the nation to unite in commemorating Remembrance Sunday.

Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and in light of the risks posed, the annual Remembrance Sunday March will not take place this year.

We recognise this will be deeply disappointing for all who were due to take part and it is not a step that has been taken lightly. This decision has been taken by the Government based on expert advice to protect the health and well-being of those who would have been travelling to and participating in the event.

Despite the changes this year, we are encouraging people across the nations to ensure Remembrance Sunday is still marked appropriately by taking part in remote and socially distanced Remembrance activity, whether that be watching the service on television or pausing for the Two Minute Silence in their home or on their doorsteps.'
