Egloshayle Cemetery:

Due to a leaking / broken tap at Egloshayle Cemetery the water is currently off until this is repaired.

This is being fixed and will be up and running again on Thursday.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yet again it is disappointing to see a large amount of litter being left all around the Skatepark. We know there is an ongoing debate as to why our Skatepark is closed.  We would like to remind you that we are in a pandemic and during this pandemic we are required to follow recommended guidance which is that the Skatepark should close.  Yet we still are faced daily with copious amounts of litter and smashed glass left around the grounds of the skatepark.

This isn’t the first time we have put up a post regarding the amount of litter being dumped and left around Wadebridge Parks, Car Parks and the Skatepark.  Our bins get emptied on a regular basis and if, for any reason, they are full is it too difficult to use another bin or take it home with you?

Dropping your litter on the ground and smashing glass while expecting others to clean up after you is unacceptable and disrespectful.  Please show some respect to Town Council staff who, regardless of a pandemic, shouldn't have to spend hours clearing up the mess of others who appear to have no regard for other users of the Skatepark, our Community or the Skatepark itself.

The Skatepark remains closed.  However, if you witness any COVID-19 breaches, including misuse of the skatepark, please report your concerns to Devon & Cornwall Police rather than contacting the Town Council offices. This then ensures that crime is logged in the correct manner and Police Officers can attend.

CAR PARK CHARGES RECOMMENCING

Wadebridge Town Council are reinstating car park charges in their car parks from Monday 1st March 2021

Locations:

- Jubilee Road (Co-op)

- Wadebridge Library

- Egloshayle Playing Fields

Cornwall Council car parks are still offering free parking at Piggy Lane & Goldsworthy Way.

Polite Notice - FLY TIPPING

It is disappointing to see that individuals, during these difficult times of COVID 19, are choosing to dispose of their domestic household waste/recycling in our bins in Jubilee Road car park.  This is fly tipping.  Please stop taking the lazy option and dispose of your waste in the correct and responsible way.

Cornwall Council provide a routine collection of refuse and recycling (0300 1234 141) and there is a dedicated recycling facility at Wadebridge Tesco.

As this has been identified as a recurring problem the Town Council 's CCTV will be referred to the Police as fly tipping is a criminal offence.
