We think it’s important to put faces to a name, so each week we will be putting up a member of our Town Councillors and why they joined the Town Council.
Meet Councillor Emma Pate
Emma became a member of the Town Council in June 2022 and is on the Wadebridge West Ward.
" I have recently joined Wadebridge Town Council ; I love where I live, and I want to do all I can support the future development of the town. It is a wonderful place to live ,work, to be active and to learn.
I have a particular interest in sustainable food for all and I am currently working on developing a sustainable food partnership within Cornwall. I am hoping that Wadebridge can be part of this work. "

Meet Councillor Ian Welch
Ian became a member of the Town Council in 2018 and is on the Wadebridge West Ward.
"I joined the Council in 2018 partly when the Council helped our hamlet to refurbish a disused phone box and when I realised that the views of local residents were not being properly reflected in the development plans for Wadebridge.
I am a practical person, I am a passionate about the future of our wonderful town, about reversing our major impacts on the environment and preventing over-development in the wrong places. "
