The Town Council are pleased to see that the beautiful weather is bringing people out into our parks to enjoy the sunshine.

However, what we aren’t so pleased about is the horrendous amount of litter being left around the children's play area in Jubilee Field and around the Skatepark. Every kind of litter imaginable is being left behind for someone else to pick up or, in the case of broken glass, to cause injury.

Littering harms the environment and costs the people of Wadebridge money. It makes an unsightly mess of our town and gives the impression that we don’t care. The Town Council know that the majority of people living in Wadebridge are proud of their town and either put their litter in the bin or take it home with them.

However, there are obviously some people who don’t appreciate our Town, the surroundings we live in or care about anyone else who does.

The sad fact is that there are litter bins all around the areas shown in the pictures – is it really that difficult to put your litter in the bin?

PLEASE DON'T DROP LITTER. PLEASE HELP US LOOK AFTER YOUR TOWN. LITTERING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, IS ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR AND NEEDS TO STOP.

Carers Week Lunch

As you will probably have noticed, the Town Council has installed new bins in Jubilee Road Car Park. We would like to thank those who have been using them responsibly in disposing of their waste & recycling.

However, it has been disappointing to see that individuals are abusing this facility & are choosing to dispose of their household waste in these bins. Cornwall Council provide a routine collection of refuse & recycling (0300 1234 141) & there are specific recycling points located at Tesco & behind Lidl's.

The Town Council installed these bins for use by members of the public using/visiting the Town. They do not have the capacity to cope with the additional mass of waste/recycling currently being dropped in & around the bins. The Town Council is now considering installing CCTV within the Car Park in order to deal with the situation.
